Satoshi(Ash) was awesome in the mangas, and so was his mentally retarded Clefairy who could talk (This is from a manga series that never made it to the US,and never will, with good reason too.) , and I'm not ashamed to say that I still enjoy reading the Pokemon Mangas (the anime on the other hand...). of course, Satoshi was also great in the 2 other Pokemon alt. universe mangas I had (probably because I couldn't hear his voice ). In one of them, he had a Polywhirl as his starting pokemon, and the gym leaders like Sabrina and Lt. Serge were Rockets. The other one, Satoshi had a headset, and his Pikachu could talk. Does anyone know of theses mangas?

Obviously, my fave character's Ash. He has accomplished a lot of things other trainers his age otherwise can't, or unable to, accomplish. Not only that, he values life above all else; he wouldn't mind sacrificing himself! The 8th movie was concrete proof of that!
