Facul deve ser super legal! Só de poder estudar o que gosta (teoricamente), por exemplo, eu não vou estudar física, química, matemática, biologiaaa.... \o/

Sim nada no mundo é um mar de rosas! Afinal todos já devemos ter passado por coisas más. Só digo é que na facul podemos pensar estar para tudo, mas por vezes estamos enganados.

Porque em cada faculdade, em cada país, existem dificuldades!

Because we are in a thread of language talk... for example, the books at university, here in Portugal are almost in english, or in spanish, and even in french, some in portuguese but...
When it becomes to study some times is difficult, because of that specific terms related to each area of knowledge that can't be translated correctly. Due to that it's hard to understand some things.

Yeah you are right, and the books in other languages sometimes are a big headheach. Once i was translating one single text to a friend that doesn't know a word of english. It took me 4 hours and the specific terms are always very hard to translate even if we know the language very well.

most of times people ask me to write their names in japanese XD

Me too, I like to translate, but my wish is not to become a translator like u want. Because I'm a science woman. I love science, ok I admit only some parts of it XD, specially that one's connected to life! GENETICS, IMMUNOLOGY , BIOLOGY ... And at university i'm studying something related to eyes. Btw I've always been fanatic for eyes.

However I like languages too and some day, if possible, I want to make a travell around the world to know different languages, different cultures, different countries, different people. *.*
I think the diversity of Human being it's awsome!

I'm crazy about languages! I think if I could, I'd only study languages at school. nothing else. XD

(Não é bem Oftalmologia, estou numa àrea que surgiu à pouco tempo, há cerca de 50, e mais nestes últimos anos começa a ser conhecida: Ortóptica conheces? Sei que no Brasil é muito conhecida! Aliás existem bastantes parcerias entre faculdade de cá e a do Brasil!

Deve ser complicado quando na família quase tudo é médico, ou segue uma profissão e se pensa que os filhos também vão ser o mesmo...)

And which parts of biology do u like?
When I was in High School I had a subject called " Biologia e Geologia", "Biology and Geology" in english. I liked all the matters that were teached in classes.

Specifically in biology we talked a lot of the cell. And we studyed unicellular and pluricelluar beings. I like this kind of things XD

O que eu gosto na biologia......... eu gosto de botânica.....acho que só... XDDD
Nossa, acho que na escola eu só gosto de inglês, literatura (tirando os livros, que são MUITO chatos) e redação.... XDDD

Em Ortóptica estudamos os movimentos escolares, e as doenças relacionadas com isso. Entre outras coisas. Mas posso dizer que nunca pensei que fosse uma àrea tão profunda!! O=

Botânica é giro, embora eu não aprecie muito XDD

I've started learning Russian... :\
I got really, badly obsessed with Тату and I couldn't stop myself.
But the alphabet is a lot of fun to write in!

And I should be going back to school in January to finally get a degree in Japanese, and another Asian language. I'm having a hard time picking between Chinese and Korean, but I think I might go for Chinese. (I want to speak all three fluently someday...)

I'm doing 2 kyuu in a few months.... XD

I dunno about that. German makes me laugh, though.

It's hard for me because it's the first Slavic language I've learned, and I can't really guarantee I'll go through with actually learning the whole language. I've gotten so used to Asian languages that I even screw up Latin-based languages like Spanish now. But I do like being able to write/read Russian, even if I can't understand it. XD

Yeah, I would assume they'd make me take the JLPT. I haven't gotten everything straightened out yet and I don't know where I'll be placed in the course. But I just want to go study abroad in Japan and China. :)

lol, I've gotten so used to Japanese, that now I do have to think when I'm going to talk even in portuguese! XDDD I'm starting to think in japanese, and it's been about 5 days that all my dreams are in japanese! o__o' XD That's funny!

Yeah, I understand how cool it is when you can read/write something in another language, even you can't understand it XD I do the same thing with korean XDD

Ohh I want to go back to Japan maybe after I finish college....
And I'd like to go to China too. It's a place I like a lot!

It has been a week since i posted here o.o lol

Well I think Slavic Languages are funny and weird at the same time, the accent is different and people speak very quickly and it seems like they are stumbling in their own words.
But this can be apllied in all languages, thought.

Russian.... is it difficult?

I think I would have a hard time learning...

I tried to speak something in Russian when I went to a bookstore and found out a russian dictionary!
It was soo funny! I couldn't speak it, it was soo different! But I like it!

I will study Russian someday! 0__09

It's got words that Russian has borrowed from other languages, so it's fun to practice reading them.

It talks about how they write foreign words strangely, too. Like the sound 'au' becomes 'av'. So 'autopilot' becomes 'avtopiloty' (автопилоты). ^^ But it is very different! Even foreign words like that become pronounced very differently. Instead of 'AW-toh-py-lit' it sounds like 'av-TOH-pee-LOH-tee'.

Anyway, what does your sig say? It looks like it uses the word for die/death/etc?
