Cosplay question(mugens sword)

soo... im going to go to a cosplay thing with a friend(my first one) and i decided to dress up like mugen(from samurai champloo)and i actually found his sword online. http://www.shopusmore.com/swords/anime_ ... champ.html (theres the link if neone cares to look) but my question is the sword is pretty real and do you think ill be allowed to have it on my back...its only partially sharpened and since its only 40 bucks i wasnt going to plan on chopping nething up with it, its more for looks. im getting it neways to have but i would like to use this instead of having to make my own sword.

I'd say just get a piece of cardboard and wrap it in duct tape or aluminum foil. While at a lot of conventions, it somewhat common to see people with (real)* swords, its safer not to deal with it. If you really want the sword to have for display or whatever later, then sure, go ahead. But if its just one con, and its going to gather dust in a corner, then why bother? Duct tape is cheaper too.


*I put real in parenthesis because many of the swords are strictly for display and/or are not battle ready.
