They always butcher the manga to anime transitions, it's almost unavoidable. Though there have been anime that have surpassed the manga.

I think Sayo's status is already implied in the manga in the student roster. And after starting into vol. 5 the twins are looking even cuter now.

You know it's funny, when Negima was first introduced all I thought of it was a manga version of Harry Potter. And because I had no interest in HP I was going to pass Negima by. Now here I am at vol.5

Very cool, I just got Negima 5 a couple days ago, it's really a great manga. Those fighting powers that Negi now has are amazing, and I'm so happy for Nadoka for so many reasons.
