mabye alchemy is real but how would u go about doing it i mean u would have to make some devise that rearanges molocules. that could be possible but i dont think its possible the way ed and al do it i mean he just claps and poof alchemy i dont belive in that

i don't know personally. the way ed does it is pretty improbable in our world. i'm not sayin' it's impossible, just improbable. i believe in it cuz i believe in things people think to be impossible. maybe it will be proven that all of these things are fake and impossible or whatever. but until then, i shall still believe.

Guys, don't take the show or even this conversation too seriously. As said earlier, the concept of the Philosopher's Stone is a fluid one. It can be considered symbolic. I don't know enough about it to judge either, but this was more of a hypothetical conversation than a discussion of how to accomplish alchemic results.

If you want to believe in alchemy, though, there's radioactivity. That's the closest well-known thing I know of to an alchemic response/transmutation (although most of what you hear is more along the lines of what Scar does).

Seriously, does nobody read what I write? I explained everything! And going off into Harry Potter or Christianity doesn't help much. Also, I was about 14 or 15 when I started on this stuff, I already knew what the Philosopher's Stone was BEFORE reading Harry Potter, though I learned about Flamel through the first book.

(By the way, I just looked it up, Flamel's tomb is empty... Just thought I'd share)

I'm not saying there is LITERALLY something that can turn lead to gold. Although there is a 7-step method to creating the Philosopher's Stone, each one identified with a "star" (Saturn to Sol, the sun), and a "substance" (Lead to Gold). Most of which is taken from the Emerald Tablet of Hermes (if I forget to post it up, lemme know, but it's all very cryptic and I prefer to let previous people do that dirty work for me - and it would do you little good as well).

Again... It is not only viewed as a chemical "purification" of a substance which is assumed to be known by all (I heard mention on one site as it being vitriol, which is, essentially, sulfuric acid. Careful, kids). However, I found on one site that there is also a psychological and spiritual method to these 7 steps, involving forsaking the material world (and, in some sense, your own identity) to purify oneself, and tap into the widom of God. It is a hard process of meditation and understanding of who you are, and your own true potential.

Nobody said the search for the Philosopher's Stone was as easy as a home chemistry set or digging up a gem - or stealing it from someone else. It's hard work. And again, it has much to do with the mind. If not by what I've said before, then the three elements of the Philosopher's Stone - involving the colors Black, White, and Red, and the substances Salt, Mercury, and Sulfur - have to do with the Body, Mind, and Soul. The three aspects of yourself. Screw the Shamrock and the Christian Trinity. Deal with yourself first, let go of you ego and pride and suppression of what you truly wish to be. Know yourself, and the rest will come to you.

Oh, by the way... No, you're not SUPPOSED to believe in Alchemy as shown by FMA. It is what we call FICTION! I have never seen Anime as a biography of an actual person. You cannot simply draw a circle and work magic like fixing a radio - I doubt even Wiccans could do that. And no, you can't simply clap your hands together and work Alchemy. Transmutation involves much more than circles (drawn or by completing a circut with your arms). Besides, unless you RP and see that crap repeatedly (by the way, I hate you people for doing this), clapping your hands together to make Alchemy is rare even in the world of FMA. I only know of three people in the Manga who learn to do it. Then again, I only got to Chapter 40 (That's all I've found online... lol)

...And um, yeah, through many of the 7 stages, it is a liquid. And, if the Stone would be like it was in the Anime, it wanders the line between solid and liquid. Nearly a gel, but not quite. If taken out of its container, it balls up like mercury, but can then be picked up as if it were a gem. Though again, I still doubt that the Philosopher's Stone is a true material thing at all - that's only to confuse those who are obsessed with physical goods, materialistic and greedy. Those who only see the Philosopher's Stone as a way to gain the Midas Touch and turn everything to gold, as well as to gain immortality. That's not what the Philosopher's Stone truly is. At least, not completely.

Dunno why I put this in another post, I guess it's just 'cuz I wrote so darn much in the past one. I need to check this thing more often.

1.Investigating if the Lead used on the Stone is the metal or life.

Yeah, I babble a lot. Which is odd, 'cuz I have ADD and could never read all of what I write if I were in your place.

Metal or life? What? And why the heck would anyone want to tell YOU the process? Unless you have something to give back to help with making the Stone, you're pretty much useless. And how do you know if it grants immortality or not?

And um, I don't think lead is actually used in making the stone. I think it's vitriol. AKA sulfuric acid. Again, that means "be careful".

But have you read and understood the posts before yours? I already mentioned Flamel's grave being empty (and I reminded you of that once already, too). These things are interesting to me as cultural references. Harry Potter and Fullmetal Alchemist are both fictional stories that refer to the Philosopher's Stone. I tried to make a point of saying I don't know enough about it to say whether or not it is true, so don't get ruffled if I'm skeptic. It might help to make references more substantial than that you saw something on some website, by the way. At least, link to the site so we can decide if it's credible. If not, you might want to identify your other references or perhaps share the successes you have had in recreating what you have read. Like time travel, no one has proven to me that it isn't possible, but it sure isn't being proven now that it is by your high-and-mighty post. Consider me open to the possibility but disappointed in your arguments.
