I hate Kira, Athrun and Lacus, so I will have to say Cagalli. Her character is ok, and her Akatsuki, while it is a blatant Hyaku Shiki rip off, is still a pretty sweet mobile suit

Omg you must be crazy, what person in their right mind would hate Kira and Athrun and Lacus?!!! I don't see how anyone could hate them! Well I am mad at Kira but that's a different story and I wish Flay would burn with Kikyo but that's her not Lacus.

Gundam Seed tarnishes the name of Gundam. I hate Seed and Seed Destiny both with a passion (I used to like the earlier episodes of Seed Destiny, but now i hate it) Kira is a pansy that cries at a pindrop in Seed, and in Seed Destiny, he is a robot. Lacus is a bubbling idiot who ticks me off. Athrun, I'm not too sure why, but he pisses me off as well. The storylines are ripped off from older Gundam series, and Seed's pacing is messed up. The tone of the series is also wrong, generally, Gundam is about the horrors and atrocities of war, and the tone from Seed is that of a soap opera (Seed Destiny's tone is a bit better, though not by much). And don't get me started on the blatant rip off mobile suit designs designs.

Ok listen, I understand what you mean but don't go over board, I mean like Kira can be a bit too emotional at times but seriously I mean wouldn't you be too if you had to fight against your best friend and this crazy guy(Yzak) kills a little girl and you couldn't stop him. Also you know if you think that Seed is a disgrace to Gundam then you obviously haven't seen SD. With the crapy little midgets! So if you hate Seed so much then go and make a thread about how much of a disgrace it cuz I like it and so do the other ppl in this thread. I am of course mad that you think that but you are in titled to your own opinion.

If they hate it, that is also ok, why should I care or dictate what people like or hate?

Ok um, I just have something to say about your previous post. You see, if you really think about it all the gundams are copies of the older versions, so if that's like that only true reason you think seed is so bad then you should think the same about the others.

Please tell me, are you qualified to say that all mobile suits are copies? Have you seen every mobile suit ever designed? I have seen just about every Gundam series created, and each series has their own aesthetic mobile suit designs. The only exceptions to this rule are the Universal Century Gundam animes, which are all within the same timeline, and even in those shows, the mecha keep evolving newer and more interesting mobile suit designs as the timeline goes on. These are all antagonistic frontline mass produced mobile suits

If look at these mobile suits, the only ones with similarities are the Zaku II, Hizack, Geara Doga, Jenice and Zaku Warrior. The Zaku II was the original mobile suit, and the Hizack and Geara Doga are all built in the same universe, and are successors to the Zaku II. The Jenice is from After War Gundam X, which has a good explanation f the similarities

Because of this, it is actually meant to be a sort of parallel universe (up until the colony drop) and that explains the Jenice. The Zaku Warrior has no such explanation.

Again, taking After War Gundam X’s mobile suits, most Gundam series have several mobile suits that serve similar purposes, and some may argue that even After War Gundam X also steals designs, I would also beg to differ. While Gundam X’s Jenice, Septem and Octape mobile suits are similar to Mobile Suit Gundam’s Zaku II, Dom and Gelgoog, there are still enough differences between them that they can be called a different design (Unlike Seed’s ZAKUs, GOUFs, and DOMs, which are directly ripped off from Mobile Suit Gundam’s Zaku IIs, Goufs, Doms and Rick Doms) . Take for example the Dom. The Septem is a mobile suit very similar to the Dom, as they have the same propulsion systems, similar weapons, and generally similar body shape. But just look at them...

The Hyaku Shiki is a mobile suit that only appeared in Zeta Gundam, it was unique with its head and torso design, which no other mobile suit in any universe has ever used, as well as its vivid golden paint scheme. To my knowledge, there is only one other mobile suit (Before the appearance of the Akatsuki) with a golden paint scheme, and that is the Golden Sumo

The Psycho Gundams are gigantic 40 meter tall mobile suits/mobile armors that are painted black, and they only appeared in Zeta Gundam. The only other mobile suits of that height (before the appearance of the Destroy Gundam) were the WaDom and the Quin Mantha

I could go on, but it’s rather needless. And if you had read my posts carefully, you would have known that the ripped off designs were just one factor in the reasons I dislike Seed. I mostly hate it for its poor pacing, rehashed storyline, poor characters, inconsistent animation, lots of recycled animation, WAAY too many clip shows, etc… Oh yeah, and another reason I dislike Seed is that the newer ripped off mobile suits do not fit in with the older GINNs, DINNs, and GuAIZs. Seed has its own aesthetic designs, and by bringing in One Year War Suits, they clash horribly together. It isn’t right for the older model mobile suits to look more advanced than the newer models. (To be perfectly honest, I love the GINN, and I believe that it has an excellent design, but Seed-D just ruins everything else)

If you want more in depth reasons, then I direct you to this thread, where I had given out my thoughts on Seed several months ago. (please note that this was when I still liked Seed Destiny, my opinion of it changed after I started watching more of it…)

I concur, this argument is not really going anywhere since neither one of us is giving in. It was getting a bit lethargic as well. (And I was running out of factual Gundam information)
