We had to reboot the server for maintenance today (upgrade RH kernel to fix a possible security hole). Site was down for about 30 minutes.

Our upper level ISP lost one of their main trunks today. It appears that the City of Oakland is working on the roads again. I guess cutting fibers has become their specialty out there. Anyways, the site is obviously up again if you are reading this. If it's not up and you're reading this please contact me for a job using your mental cognition skills to help me win the lottery. Otherwise move along.

The outage was approximately 1 ½ hours. BTW, why are we using 205k of swap space when there are 1.7gb of free memory? That's got me confused now. Anyways, have fun…

I have to move the server to a new rack tonight. The site was offline for 30 minutes or so. While we were at it we applied some service packs.
