ok i would like to point out a little detail that everyone missed: Orochimaru needed a new body so he could go on learning all the ninja stuff in the world, basically living forever. he wanted Sasuke's body because of the sharingan. so to get Sasuke he, Orochimaru, needed to put the cursemark on Sasuke. now because Sasuke is such an power hungry emo he does go to Orochimaru thinking about getting the power to kill his brother. but Sasuke doesn't know that Orochimaru is scared of Itachi. also Orochimaru wanted Itachi in the first place for his sharingan thing (i forget what its called).
just thought i would put my two cents in. also if ya have anymore questions ya can ask me in a message on here. i'll help if i can. i'm not a naruto expert but i do know some infomation about Naruto that might be of some help.
