Most Complicated Book

Post by Panda* »

What's the most complicated book you've ever read?

For me, it's Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. I read a few pages of it and re-read it like five times, and I still couldn't understand it! Maybe because they used the Old English language on that book. So, I didn't continue reading it, I stopped at like page 50+ something, and it's a thick book. All I know that the book is supposed to be a romance, but I didn't get to that part. =\

lol. I really am not for certain.

If by complicated, you mean plot with symbolism etc, and figuritive speech, I'm not sure.

If by complicated you mean the vocabulary the author uses, (for example the, "Wuthering Heights" book) I'm still not for certain.

Probably Salem's Lot by Stephen King. I didn't really understand the middle or the end. :|

Beowulf.
It's an old epic poem written sometime between the 8th and 10th century. It uses old English and a poem format, and is old, so it is a bit confusing.

Iracema or Dom Casmurro. But Iracema was more difficult than Dom Casmurro.
Iracema was written in a veeery difficult portuguese (plus it had some indian words and their meaning wasn't at the book..) and its veeery boring...
-_______-'

Dom casmurro is boring too. -_______-' Well, i know I'll read a lot of difficult and boring books, specially next year.
I don't choose those books, we have to read them to make a exam, then we can try to go to the college.

The Fountainhead-Ayn Rand

I reread the first page like 5 times.
And Goodness knows the Wicked's lives are lonely.
Goodness knows the Wicked die alone.
It just shows when you're Wicked you're left only on your own
