Cigarettes and drugs
One of my friends- she'll smoke anything that she can get her hands on. The only things she's told me she smokes are cigarettes and pot. I'm not worried about the pot, but her smoking cigarettes concerns me. I've tried to talk to her about it but she just won't listen, she doesn't let my physical threats scare her either. I don't know what to do, anyone have a suggestion?

pot kills brain cells.
I felt like a race horse in a world without racetracks or a champion college footballer suddenly confronted by Wall Street and a business suit, his days of glory shrunk to a little gold cup on his mantel with a date engraved on it like a tombstone.

Cigarettes are worse for you, especially long term. But of course it depends on how much of each you have.

actually, its been proven pot has medical benefits. its tobacco that you should focus more on. its more addictive than smack, and it kills quicker, due to the various cancers and diseases it causes.

actually, pot doesn't kill brain cells, it numbs them, it takes about 2 weeks for them to return from their numbed state, but it isn't going to kill them. Post soaked in formaldahyde on the other hand, is so deadly to brain cells your memory is shot after about 3-4 joints. ((My chem teacher has seen that and apparantly it's not pretty))
Pot in and of itself is mostly dangerous because ofthe additiction and tar buildup in your lungs, the carcinagens are about 1/10th of that as are in tobacco, however that is mostly caused by the fact that tobacco is far more refined and has many mroe aditives, and processign chemicals still in it (like cyanyde and arsenic).
and apparantly ((why my chem teacher did with his daughter when he caught her smoking...)) giving someone a 9 moth old sun-baked cigar to smoke is a big turn-off to smoking... don' know if that would work though... just an idea... NOTE: IN NO WAY DO I CONDONE THE USE OF ANY DRUG OR OTHER SUBSTANCE.
