um webmaster i think that the new mod thingy isnt helping all to well all it does is create fricksion between users and peoples feelings are getting hurt from others kinda rude opinions and not to mention only 3 out of who nos how many people are actually following the directions u put out i think u should think of another method that doesnt have to do with others opionions sure the mods but not users just plain members

Moderators often have rude comments hurled at them. Better to see who can handle it before they're made a moderator. No one forced them to apply, and they can request to have their application locked at any time. And yes, only a few people have followed the instructions precisely. Better to find out now who can follow directions before they're made a moderator.

There are lucky mods who escaped this torment. I reckon they should have to go through all this, and then you might make some replacements.

Easy for you to say, you don't get a ton of messages everyday from people begging to be made moderators. Doing it that way gives nobody a fair shot, because I end up just saying no since I don't have time to look into it.

Doing that won't help me see what other people think about the person, nor will it show me how well the person handle responses, both positive and negative.

I agree with webmaster on this. It doesnt help me in the slightest, but it must have been hell for him. This way, he can see what other people think, he can see how well they follow orders, he can see how people go about trying to be a moderator, and at the same time, he saves his inbox some agony. I dont like it, but it works.

Its easy, those who cant take BOTH comments, BAD and good...Dont have to make a thread. EVERYONE will probably get 1 bad comment on their thread, and if they cant deal with it, they dont have to make a thread, they dont have to have dreams to be a mod, and they CANT be a mod. We cant have people who flipps just because someone critisizes them. Now if marik-zeke wants to quit because of some bad comments she got I can talk to her about, but this system is very good and just because some people get hurt easaly or flipp over some negative comments will definitly not make this system go away. There is nothing to discuss about this, the system is good. People have a CHOICE to make a thread or not and they should expect what will come from the thread. Meh...I lost myself now... *scratches head*...well thats all, hope you understand. And when someone gets hurt just try to cheer the person up or something.
