Does this sound like a guy who fears piloting the Evangelon?

I was discussing the worst fear of a particular someone with my friend, using only clues from the source material; he said the guy sounded like his worst fear was piloting the Evangelion, what do you think?

Quite crude, I know, but I am not a huge Evangelion fan. So does he fear the Evangelion or what?

He does sound like shinji. so only the blue parts are the original right? If it is then the guy has a lot of similariteis with shinji.

sounds like Shinji, but then again it may not be.
Shinji did it because he was told to, though he still feared Unit One.
I wouldnt have done it.
