Hello all! I'm a bit new at this so bear with me...

Reasons you should vote Nyx a mod:

1) I'm above the age limit. But it's true. I'm a 17 year old and rather mature when I have to be. But I've still got my sense of fun.

2) I've been here for...I've lost count of the time. Certainly long enough to know the ins and outs of the site. I know what my modly (yes, I know, it's not a word) duties would involve.

3) I won't abuse my power. I won't bully any n00bs or anyone younger than me.

4) I put time and effort into my posts. I just don't slapdash anything together.

5) I don't fight. At least not on the boards or in the chat. In real life...That's a different tale...

6) I censor my own posts without being told too. Even if I does have a potty mouth, I plan on trying to keep this forum the way it should be- family oriented.

7) I don't exactly jump into the n00b area with open arms for every single new user, but I do greet them occasionally.

I'm well known on the boards- in Mindless, Off Topic and the specialty boards. Many of the users know me from any of the forums or the chat. Many of those users get along well with me, and, as I mentioned earlier, I don't pick fights.

9) I can't bring much that hasn't been all ready brought to this forum by the people that make it great, but what I do bring I can promise will be lighthearted and fun for all ages. I will keep the mature content in the mature forums only!

That is my mod application. Chock full of reasons why you should say yes on that poll! And if for any reason you say "No" or "I don't care either way", please, tell me why. I want to know what I can do better.

we are a bit up ourselves. its one thing being well known, but to have "Respect" from the people is another matter. it hasta be more of a universal thing. also, where abouts are you respected? if its in Mindless Chit Chat, then it means balls all, as mods have jack all power there. everyone knows the mods main powers come into play at Mod apps (moving the failed ones) Music, Video Games, and Off Topic. if you have some respect from the people regularly there, then i may be more inclined to vote yes.

your time here seems kind of substancial. almost a year, it gives you time to know a majority of the recurring posters, who the flamers are, etc.

i'm still undecided, but, if you wanna persuade me to yes, then try ammending the egotistical point in #8.

btw, all mods abuse their power at some point. saying you wont now is pathetic. nobody is certain of the future.

I don't see much good reasons stated to why you should be moderator so I vote "No" (This pretty much means that this application really didn't have much good information, too lazy to say more but this should be far enough for someone like me).

But saying that you're well respected isn't egotistical.

Exactly, no they do not. The word "all" and "everyone" is so overused and not even used correctly these days.

Nyx: Power can corrupt, but you just have to remind yourself why you choose to run for a mod. When I was both a commander and a public servant, I always reminded myself that it was to do good for my community. As long as you keep that in mind, you'll be fine.

What fun would that be? I abused my powers all the time when I was moderator. So does Erik and Dret, they are all fantastic examples. Its the IN thing to do on THE AA.
