Wind Energy possibly dangerous......

Post by Aoi Sakuraba »

I am not sure if this is happening in other countries that have wind energy turbines but over here areas that contain wind turbines have an increased illness rate and it began shortly after the turbines were put in place. At first over here it was thought to be a coincidence but as more and more turbines are put in place the same pattern shows up. The illness range from headaches and migraines to numbness of the body and frequent dizziness. Some people effected say when they spent time away from their homes, the symptoms quickly disappeared. But as soon as they returned home, the symptoms would show up again. Apparently similar cases are in Ireland as well.

Has your country/state/prefecture had anything similar happen??

According to the County Dept. of Public Health, nothing has been noted recently. According to the Center for Disease Control, no reports have been filed regarding illness to wind turbines.

I just came across this in the WSJ--perhaps you might find this interesting.

U.S. states with the most installed wind capacity (in megawatts):

Texas------4446
California--2439
Minnesota--1299
Iowa--------1271
Washington-1163
Colorado----1067
Oregon------885
Illinois-------699
Oklahoma---689
New Mexico-496

I was surprised that Texas came in first, I thought CA would have it. I ran a search for wind sickness cases in Texas, and the only thing I found was a news article on "Wind turbine Syndrome." Symptoms include headaches, dizziness, nausea and ringing in the ears -- known as tinnitus. You can read the article here

The only thing people really have against wind turbines is that birds fly into them.
I went to one of the energy conferences a while back, and they didn't mention this "illness" at all.

Damage to your ears throws off your equilibrium.
Hence nausea, dizziness, ect.
It's just the noise, and it really can't be called an illness.
But whatever.
You get that by airports too.

Exactly.

Sure you may have the same things by airports, But that's been knows and publicized. I'm not so sure people are truly aware that the same thing happens here <,<

So according to all you experts noise can make your body go numb?

And josh your statement made no sense, most countries that are trying wind turbines have had nuclear power for years and will continue using it even if there was millions of wind turbines. I'm saying that the populace of a town that is 350m away from the turbines is getting sick because of something coming from the turbines.

I think it should be looked into......but no the whole world is so [censored] hell bent on this new fad of "clean energy" that they're blind to whats going on around them.

Give me an article that mentions this "sickness" making your body numb.

It is in the Asahi newspaper, even if I scanned the paper you all couldn't read it. The most recent was in Tahara in Aichi Prefecture, Japan. the Japan ministry of health has suspended any further wind turbine installations until the cause of the illnesses is identified.

But I'll have athos find me a few articles as he is the one who showed me the same incidents happening in the UK

Didn't think Wind Turbines were that loud? So, simple solution - build them away from populated areas.
