Is it just me or is more and more American cartoons starting to look more and more Japanese.

But you are correct. More American cartoons are using an anime style, and more American comics are using a manga style.

What you are noticing is the trendiness of the American media. People who come up with cartoons and comics for American audiences have noticed how popular anime and manga have become, and they're trying to cash in the same way they always do: by keeping the content the same and merely change the outward appearance.
Of course, we all know that manga and anime are popular because the contents are so different (for the most part) from "mainstream" American comics and cartoons...but that's a concession those powers-that-be-stupid are unwilling to grant.

Here is the whole reson why otakus like Anime

1)Japanese cartoons (anime) Have a stronger story line... it takes like the whole series to solve the problem.

2)American cartoons Has a much weaker story line. One episode one story.

I think thats why Otaku's like Anime better
