Hellsing OAV Stuff

I guess this is kind of old news already, but no one has posted so i guess i'll spread the word. It's been confirmed that Geneon(a U.S. anime licensing company) will be funding the production of the new Hellsing OVA series. You can get the scoop here:

YEAH !!!!! (again)

wel i hope they rock...did anybody watch the trailer in the 1st dvd of hellsing in the extra menu?...i think itr was before the serise was actual releases and they didn't have all their ideas yet but it almost all took place in the manga and not a single seen took place in the anime.

Maybe we will see some of that footage in the new OVAs


PS: i think it can be said OVA or OAV doesn't matter

Ya Ive seen it. Its for Psalm of Darkness o.o It looks more like the manga since Kreig (sp?) is in it but hes not in the series. Its be awsome to watch a second part to the series cause the ending of the first part just drops off o.<

Yeah i've done some research and that psalm of darkness was their original name for the hellsing season. They droped the psalm of darkness and title and changed the ending.

Ah. I think they should have kept the series like the manga =_= It probably would have been better. The TV series was a big disapointment to me. But then again if the OAV is like the manga then I cant complain. Oh and I think Ive seen a picture from the OAV of Rip. Im not sure if thats what its really from but it looks like an anime picture and since shes not in the TV series then ya.. Ill try and get the url of it again and post it here if I can..

I saw that trailer too. I guess that's something of what we can expect from the new OVA even if it was for the original. Those clips in the preview were all scenes from the books.

Whoa o.o It looks REALLY good! I cant wait till it comes out! >_< Im glad to see that they changed Seras's uniform to the REAL color... If you look on the cover if the second manga her uniforms yellow with the red cuff thingys.And Rip looks cool too... I wanna see Shrodinger too o.o Gah.. it looks soo good! *bounces around teh room*

I found a little information on Dark Horse about the OAV and they said that a release date wasnt released yet.. but I cant find the page again.. Anyways other then the OAV theyre making a manga of the series >_> its coming out November 9.. which Im not too happy about because Im not such a big fan of the anime as I am the manga although the voice actors were REALLY good, but then again it might be a nice little twist.. and the more Hellsing we get, the better, right? ^_^; anyways you can see the Anime manga at:

Yeah I saw another one that was filmed at a con in Japan (Im not sure if tbats the same one.. but my computer decided not to work... so yeah o.<; ) It lookes great so far ^_^ I was at a French website that said that the OAV is suppost to be released in late 2005 or early 2006 so I hope thats true cause I cant wait e_e;;; Plus the 7th and final manga (other then the 8th which is based on the anime version of Hellsing >_>) is coming out Sep 21 (yayness ^.^) Although... I gotta wonder who theyre gonna cast as Pip, Kreig, Doc, Rip and the rest... Although I didnt see anything involving Schrodinger in the preview I watched.... oh well... just gotta wait.. T_T;

Hes the werewolf 'messenger' who works for the Millenium. He appears a ways through the 4th manga. ^_^ Kinda has a resemblance to a certain girl character,no? x.x;
