Character Description: Ma-kun
Although his name simply is "Ma" in the English dubbed version, it's always said as "Ma-kun" This is because in English "ma" is short for mother, so they added the "kun" onto the end for the whole series. Otherwise, Ma-kun is a nickname that mainly Taki and Ken-chan have for him.
Maa-kun is a fairly quiet character, and not much is put into his part. The only big act he does in the series alone is go to Shuichi to warn him of Taki going after Yuki. From the start, Ma-kun is against Taki's plans to ruin Shuichi, and would just like his friend to forget about things and continue with ASK.
Ma-kun is a voice of reason for Taki, even if he never listens to him or Ken-chan. Ma-kun takes the most of the beating when Yuki comes to avenge Shuichi, and seems to be the only one coming out of the beating bloody.
He is a calm character, but does get a little attitude with Bad Luck when they meet before Bad Luck goes on the game show "Quiz and Pop". Other than this encounter he never seems hasty towards them.
