Jack and the Witch is a 1967 fantasy adventure, the tenth theatrical feature from Toei Animation, directed by Taiji Yabushita. A spirited young boy named Jack rides his scooter into the forest and crosses paths with Allegra, a witch girl bound to the service of a wicked queen.

Allegra lures Jack to the castle of Queen Auriana, where captured children are transformed into winged harpies and forced to serve. With the help of a small band of animal friends, Jack sets out to free the children and topple the queen, awakening the goodness buried in Allegra's heart along the way. The film was later dubbed for American audiences and became a Halloween television favorite.
