MARRIAGETOXIN is a Spring 2026 Bones Film television anime, directed by Motonobu Hori with series composition by Kimiko Ueno, based on the Shōnen Jump+ web manga written by Joumyaku and illustrated by Mizuki Yoda. The series premiered on April 7, 2026 as part of the newly-launched Ka-Anival!! programming block, alongside Witch Hat Atelier and other Shueisha-backed titles.

Gero Hibino is one of the deadliest contract killers Japan has ever produced and an entirely useless human being everywhere else. Raised inside the Hibino assassination organization since childhood, he can drop a man from a hundred meters but has never held a normal conversation with a woman, never been on a date, and has only the vaguest theoretical understanding of what romance even involves. This becomes a five-alarm crisis when his older sister Nodoka, the head of the family, announces an ultimatum: produce an heir within the year or she will dissolve the organization and put every assassin on staff out of a job.

Desperate and out of his depth, Gero hires Mei, a notoriously charming "marriage swindler" who makes his living convincing wealthy women to fall hopelessly in love with him. The two strike a deal: Mei will tutor Gero in the soft skills of dating, flirtation, and reading a room, and Gero will use the underworld connections at his disposal to keep Mei's enemies off his back. What follows is part shōnen action, part romantic comedy, and part odd-couple buddy story, as the country's most lethal contract killer takes his first stumbling steps toward maybe, eventually, finding someone willing to put up with him.
