Character Description: Inez Fressange
Despite the Nadesico's valiant attempt to rescue the survivors of the Martian colonies, this woman was the only person the crew was able to save.
Inez is a real mystery. Apparently, she was found in the Martian desert 20 years ago and was adopted by Nergal and raised to become a scientist to help with some of their most secret projects (namely, the uncovering of the ancient artifacts that would lead to the technology of the Nadesico). She has a unique ability to understand the underlying technologies the crew encounters and is able to explain them to the crew (and in understandable terms, too).
The precise reason for her unique insight will strike at the heart of a number of deep mysteries: most of them dealing with Akito.
