Character Profile: 2nd Lt. Alice L. Malvin

Alice L Malvin's life in the Imperial Army began ominously enough – at her graduation from the Academy, the ceasefire between the Royal Academy and the Republic of Frost had been announced. A girl of noble birth, she was the one who gave the name of Pumpking Scissors to Section III, as well as its symbol. She even came up with the odd nickname of the group, saying that, in the effort to restore the former glory of the Empire, they must confront those who use their influence to protect themselves like the layers of a pumpkin, and that they must cut through said layers like a pair of scissors.

Although inexperienced, and having a bit of a short temper, Malvin has a strong sense of justice, and hopes to live up to the military traditions of her family. Also, unlike the other members of the squad, who normally uses semiautomatic weapons, she uses swords in battle. The two she has are a short sword with her family's crest on the hand guard – and a twin-bladed one she has named Mahne.
