Character Description: Mari Illustrious Makinami
Originally part of NERV-England, Mari Illustrious Makinami was the pilot of the provisional Evangelion Unit 05, until she had employ the self-destruct during a battle with an Angel, escaping unharmed. Afterward, she, along with Asuka Langley Shikinami, were reassigned to NERV-Japan.
Mari is English-Japanese, but also has poor eyesight, necessitating the need for eyeglasses. She also has an odd fascination for LCL. Although very confident, her motivation with battling the Angels is unknown.
