Character Description: Princess Sienna
Princess Sienna is the reincarnation of the goddess Athena, and the granddaughter of Lord Nobu. Throughout the series, Princess Sienna gradually shows her power as Athena, and is influential upon her help with the Bronze Knights. Her kindness and bravery are the exact traits that Athena possess, in which the Bronze Knights admire.
Princess Sienna foresees the return of evil forces, and the Gold Cloth of Sagittarius is the key to defeat such evil. It has the power to lead people and overcome the darkness of the world, as Lord Nobu told Sienna. But to do so, there must be a perfect candidate to wear it. Thus, she hosts a martial arts tournament to seek out such candidates among the Bronze Knights. She also promises to Seiya that if he wins the tournament, she will help him find his lost sister.
Even though Princess Sienna looks like she is around 18 years old, both the Japanese manga and the Jump Gold Selection books list her age as 13 years old.
Princess Sienna may be kind and brave, but she depends on her gold saints far too much. As one freebie site remarks: she is constantly putting herself in danger, and these young warriors have to work their butts off to save her skin!
