Description: Samurai Shodown: The Motion Picture
Discover Anime @ AbsoluteAnime.comTeknomanSamurai Shodown: The Motion Picture is a 1994 OVA based on SNK's weapon-based fighting game series, known in Japan as Samurai Spirits. Set in late-18th-century Japan, it trades the games' one-on-one duels for a single story that pulls the cast of swordsmen, ninja, and warriors together against a common supernatural threat.
At the center is Haohmaru, the brash wandering ronin who serves as the series' mascot, joined by the gentle Ainu priestess Nakoruru and her hawk Mamahaha, the American ninja Galford and his dog Poppy, and the French fencer Charlotte. Their enemy is the resurrected sorcerer Shiro Tokisada Amakusa, who wields dark power in a bid to drag the country into ruin.
