Character Profile: Lara Gonzalez

Lara Gonzalez is an exchange student from Mexico, currently attending Yagami High School. She grew up with her father, who was a luchedor (professional wrestler), and learned the art of luche libre from him. Lara's father often drank heavily, though, pining over his wife, who had left him for another man. The two, though, had a dream of emigrating to Japan to find their fortune. It was unknown about Lara's father, but she had accomplished that dream.

One of her first wrestling matches when she got to Japan was to be against Karen Ichijou, but Karen had a date with Kyousuke Imadori, so Tenma took her place, wearing a mask to disguise herself. As a result, Lara easily defeated Tenma, but felt cheated about the easy victory. She later met the real Karen, but was impressed with her strength. Lara then found out her first name was Karen – which was also the first name of the mother that abandoned her and her father! Thus she transferred to Yagami High School, hoping to settle the score!

Lara doesn't have a very good attitude. She's often antagonistic towards Karen, but Karen just shrugs it off. Eventually, though, the two become good friends. Lara is also being pursued by Imadori, mostly because of her bust size, but also Imadori sincerely wants to see Lara smile. But Lara always ends up beating him senseless.
