Character Profile: Marie Mjolnir

Despite her otherwise intimidating name, Marie Mjolnir is actually a very insecure person. Just after she became a Death Scythe, she considered retirement and only took the Oceania post mostly for the light work load. Marie was also recovering from various failed relationships with Dr. Franken Stein and Joe Buttataki, and even considered marrying a toilet! In spite of all that, Marie, along with Yumi Azusa, the Death Scythe of East Asia and Justin Law, the Death Scythe of Europe, were summoned by Lord Death in the wake of Asura's escape. Marie was placed as an instructor at the DWMA, as well as living with Dr. Stein, as Asura's influence was beginning to effect the somewhat-demented scientist. She was even helpful in making Crona's transition into the DWMA more bearable. However, she does have a lousy sense of direction, and gets lost easily at the Academy.

Marie is extremely strong, even in her human form. Her weapon form, however, is that of a large gray tonfa, the face of the weapon bearing the lightning bolt insignia on her eyepatch. But in spite of all these, she's still a very caring person.
