Character Profile: Asch the Bloody

Asch is a God General of the Order of Lorelei, which is a religious organization which specializes in protecting the readings of a prophecy called the Score. He has a nearly perpetual frown, and is seemingly always annoyed or angry.

However, this anger doesn't go ungrounded. He is the original Luke fon Fabre that was kidnapped at the age of ten by Van. He usually takes his anger out on his replica, the new Luke, who had replaced him back at home, taking everything Asch held dear. Upon returning home and realizing that no one noticed that he was gone, he was taken back to Daath and raised as a God General.

He is very strong at fighting, able to use both Fonic Artes and Base Artes. This sets him apart from Luke, who can only use physical attacks.

Despite his apparent hatred towards Luke, he does come to accept him as an individual, and also has a soft-spot for his childhood friend and fiancee, Natalia. He and Natalia had made a promise during their childhood together to "change this country" and "make it so that war never happens.

In the end, Asch cannot escape his own Score reading, and ends up dying in Hod after accepting Luke and helping his replica fight his way to defeating Van.
