Character Profile: Mayor Weatherbee

Like her predecessors before her, Mayor Weatherbee is often irritated by the massive amount of damage (and the huge bills that pile on her desk as a result) that the Tank Police cause in Newport City. So much so, in fact, that she orders a cutback in the number of patrols they do in the city.

However, unlike her predecessors, Weatherbee genuinely cares about the affairs of Newport City and is not there just to be re-elected. She also understands the problems and risks the Tank Police have to contend with. In fact, she has sponsored a bill to ban the private manufacture, sale, and importation of weapons inside Newport City.

Unfortunately, that bill has made the mayor an enemy of the Dai Nippon Giken Research Corporation, in which weapons production is their only legal source of profits. Because of this, Weatherbee is now a target for assassination by the corporation.
