Character Profile: Tasuku Meguro

Tasuku Meguro is a 12 year old boy who is totally crazy for Berry. After Berry's mother's death, Berry had asked Tasuku if he could hug her everyday and he agreed and that's what he had been doing for a few years. He is Berry's childhood friend and now her sweetheart.

Tasuku, at first, didn't know Berry became a Mew Mew until after he saw her tail and she officially transformed in front of him. Now, he works at Cafe Mew Mew with Berry. In volume 2, he started getting nervous around Berry as Berry was getting nervous around him. At the end of volume 1 though, Berry had run away from Tasuku, leaving him confused and possibly, hurt. While at work, Berry had tripped and Tasuku had gone to help her. She, slapped his hand and he ran off. Berry had found him just outside and Tasuku had asked, "Can I stop being your childhood friend?" Berry fell to the ground and started apologizing about anything and everything.

Tasuku had gone to shoo away a bug and almost kissed her but, he ran off again. He met Duke and was under his control. Berry had found Tasuku the following Sunday and he finally kissed her. Then, he tried to kill her and then fled after the others came to Berry's aid.

After Berry had fled from angry citizens, Berry had found him once again and she kissed him and told him her feelings. That broke the spell and Tasuku told her his feelings. From that day onward, Berry and Tasuku were together and were Cafe Mew Mew's delivery service employees.

Tasuku only appears in the sequel manga, Tokyo Mew Mew à la Mode, and never appears in the anime.
