Character Description: Rikiishi Tōru
Rikiishi is the rival of the main character Joe Yabuki of the anime Ashita no Joe, the first man Joe couldn't defeat. He is a professional boxer who meets Joe in juvenile reformatory after he hit him just because he was distracted, to which Rikiishi with one punch knocked him out. This inspired Joe to box only to beat Rikiishi. Unlike Joe, Rikiishi proves to be kind and calm. Torū leaves the reformatory with Yoko Shiraki and her grandfather after he saw the talent that Rikiishi had in the ring.
