Character Description: Mirka Fortuna
The grandmother of Ion Fortuna, Mirka Fortuna is the closest friend and advisor to the empress Seth Nightlord, a.k.a. Augusta Vladica, not to mention one of the fewest persons who knows Seth's true appearance. She often poses for Seth as a stand-in in public fuctions.
Mirka also shares Seth's dream – that humans (Terrans) and vampires (Metusalahs) can co-exist in peace, so when a plot to assassinate Seth was uncovered, the two concocted a plan to flush out the culprits. Mirka faked her own murder, which implicated her grandson Ion as the killer, thus allowing her and Seth, along with Able Nightroad, to learn the leader of the plot – which was Suleyman, who was working for the Order of Rozen Kreuz alongside Dietrich von Lohengrin.
