Character Profile: Yumitsuka Satsuki

Yumitsuka Satsuki is a student of Misaki City High School, along with Shiki Tohno. During her term on 8th grade, she was locked by a few of the students inside a storage shed. After pounding on the door for a good while, she had attracted the attention of Shiki. After a second (using his "mystic eyes of death perception"), he was able to free Yumitsuka from the shed. Since then, she believed that, if ever she would be in trouble, that Shiki would be the one she could trust.

The day after Shiki had killed Arcueid Brunestud (which she later recovered but slightly), Yumitsuka told him she was planning to celebrate her birthday at the Hotel Century. However, that night she developed a sudden fever and had to stay home. It was fortunate – the hotel was attacked by Nrvnqsr Chaos, where Shiki and Arcueid was staying after an attack by him earlier that day. However, since Yumitsuka's family hadn't told the hotel staff - which, along with the guests, were killed in the attack - she, along with her family, was listed as part of the casualties at the hotel, which Shiki saw on the television afterward. It wasn't until the next day, after Chaos was defeated, that he found out she was safe.
