I beat Dead Space Remake (PS5) on impossible difficulty! It wasn't my best playthrough ever but it was the first time I made it all the way through without dying. This is a terrifying game, especially the first time through when you have no idea what's going to happen next. The creature designs and use of lighting, shadows, sound effects, and music all come together to create a perfect sense of dread and horror. Headshots are discouraged in favor of hacking off limbs, and I love how you can then pick up the dismembered body parts and throw them as projectiles. Killing a monster with its own hacked-off blade arm is so satisfying! I think they did a great job with this remake and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys sci-fi and survival horror.
