Character Profile: Kurai

Kurai comes from the kingdom of Gehenna. The angels destroyed Gehenna, and her family was murdered. Alexiel comes to Kurai's aid and saves her from being murdered herself, and so Kurai's admiration of Alexiel grows.

Kurai's other surviving family member, Arakune, assists Kurai in locating Alexiel's body, which was seperated from her spirit permanently as punishment for sealing away Rosiel. Once they acquired Alexiel's body, they went to Earth in search of her reincarnation.

Kurai is very boylike. She is competative, determined, and outgoing. When she speaks, she refers to herself in the masculine term (in Japanese), and uses a dialect unique to Gehenna.

While she may appear to be very headstrong, she is also very fragile and trusting. Kurai suffers from this because she puts too much faith in people who abuse her.

She is one of only two remaining survivors from the royal family of Gehenna in Anagura, and is the crown princess and the Dragon Master. Kurai is very old, but is basically just a little girl who desperately clings to Alexiel as a role model and parental figure after Alexiel saved her in the last war. She looks for Alexiel and steals her body from angel captivity on Assiah at the beginning of the manga, and parades herself as a "prince". Very tomboyish.
