Description: Batman Beyond
Notice: Batman Beyond is not Japanese animation! It is a cartoon produced in the US. However, because it has a style that is strongly influenced by anime, I have decided to include it on this site. If you're one of those hard-core anime purists who can't stand seeing a non-anime series on a site dedicated to Japanese animation, then just press the Back button on your web browser and pretend like you were never here.
For most of his life Bruce Wayne has been fighting the battle against evil as his alter ego Batman. However, age is the only thing that could ever stop him. Finally realizing that he was growing too old for the job, he hung up his cape and cowl for good. Batman Beyond takes place in the future, after Batman the Animated Series.
Terry McGinnis is a former teenage delinquent who steps up to take the mantle as the next Batman. After a chance encounter with Bruce Wayne (and the murder of his father) he is taken under Bruce's wing to train as Batman. However, in the future, newer and deadlier criminals are out to cause trouble. And even a few villains from the past will come to haunt Wayne and McGinnis.
