Character Description: Russell
After Greenback Jane had sought sanctuary with the Rip-Off Church, Elvis, the leader of the Miami faction of the Neveral Cartel in Roanapur, contacted "Groovy Guy" Russell to try to get her back. Like Elvis, Russell had no idea how things in Roanapur worked, but arrogantly was confident of his success. He had gotten together a group of mercenaries, which included Shenhua, Sawyer the Cleaner, Claude 'Torch' Weaver, and Lotton the Wizard, and offered them a measly bounty of $1000 for the job.
But things quickly got out of hand when Revy, Rock, and Eda had gotten involved, and with the three protecting Jane, Russell was forced to shell-out $30,000 just to keep his workers happy. The group cornered the four at the Lagoon Company's dockside offices, where they laid siege to the place while their quarry waited for the Black Lagoon to return.
Russell likes to think of himself as a modern-day cowboy, and he dresses the part, down to wearing cowboy boots with spurs. While battling Eda onboard the Black Lagoon, he recognized her from a party he once attended in Washington D.C., and told her. He then learned that Eda was with the C.I.A. - just before she shot him in the head.
