Anime Profile: Deadman Wonderland

Ten years after a big earthquake in Tokyo, survivor Ganta Igarashi was having a normal middle school day until a guy dripping with blood (who Ganta called the Red Man) came into his classroom and murdered his entire class. With Ganta being the only survivor, the judges blamed him for the crime and gave a death sentence to Japan's privately owned prison...Deadman Wonderland.

Deadman Wonderland was a half prison half amusement park and the prisoners were the attractions. To top that off all of the death row prisoners had to wear a security collar which every three days injected them with poison. The only way they could survive is if they would eat a candy shaped antidote. Ganta was now furious and wanted to get revenge on the Red Man.

Later on Ganta gets a power called Branch of sin and he can now manipulate his blood and use it at his advantage. Though he does see the Red Man he never got a chance to defeat him.
