Character Description: Dante

Dante is the son of the Legendary Dark Knight Sparda who sealed off the demon world from the human world 2000 years ago and fell in love with a human woman named Eva, who gave birth to identical twins boys, Vergil and Dante. (Dante is a few minutes younger than Vergil.)

Even though they're identical twins, they don't look exactly alike since Vergil keeps his hair slicked back. Vergil doesn't make an appearance in the anime, and is only talked about very rarely.

In the game, Devil May Cry 3, Vergil ends up being defeated by his brother and stays in the demon world, later to be seen in Devil May Cry 1 as Nelo Angelo. The anime takes place between Devil May Cry 1 and Devil May Cry 4. Because of Vergil's death (Devil May Cry 1), he doesn't show up in the anime.

During the anime, Dante is starting to get a little more mature, but still has his one-liners and cocky personality. Like in the games, Dante LOVES pizza, and a new addition to the anime is he also love Strawberry Sundaes and gambling. Gambling isn't one of Dante's better hobbies since he's only seen winning once in the entire anime and is in huge debt to Lady because of his love for gambling.

Lady and Dante work more closely in the anime then they do in the game and Trish doesn't work with Dante as closely, instead she works by herself and drops by every now and then, like Lady.
