Character Profile: Takuya Kanabara

Takuya is a typical goggle boy, and a member of his school's soccer club. He was at home sitting at the table just before his brother Shinya's birthday party when he got his SMS message. During his first moments in the Digital World, he was chosen as the Legendary Warrior of Fire when Cerberumon attacked Fire Terminal.

Takuya has a strong sense of justice and doing what's right. He's energetic and athletic, tending to act without thinking first. Takuya's hotheaded personality generally ends up in him arguing with Koji, but it eventually they put away their differences and became friends. Takuya acts like an older brother to Tommy, who reminds him of Shinya. He also has a liking for Zoe, though he never admitted it.

Takuya was able to "Spirit Evolve" to either Agunimon (Human) or Burning-Greymon (Beast). In the second half of the series, Seraphimon's power enabled Takuya to merge his spirits and "Fusion Spirit Evolve" to Aldamon and Ophanimon's power upgraded Takuya's D-Tector, allowing him to "Hyper Spirit Evolve" to Emperor-Greymon by combining the Spirits of Fire with the Spirits of Wind, Ice, Earth, and Wood
