Character Profile: Toru Kamiya

Toru is another trainee at the Junior Duelist Center and was once Shobu's rival. He will try his best to beat Shobu, but odds are he won't win.

He first met Shobu in episode 3 when he got hurt after dueling Kyoshiro Kokujo. A man named Knight discovers him in the bushes and asked him if he was okay. When he woke up, he freaked out when he saw Kokujo, and he picked up his cards, ran up the hill and told Shobu "good luck with the evil maniac."

Then in episode 7 he meets up with Shobu in a tournament and he loses to him. Shobu helps him up and they become friends.
