Description: The Eminence in Shadow
The Eminence in Shadow (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) is based on a Japanese light novel series written by Daisuke Aizawa and illustrated by Touzai.
The story follows a young boy named Cid Kagenou, who is obsessed with the idea of being a "shadow master," someone who secretly controls the world from the shadows, much like the protagonists in the stories he loves. Despite his delusions of grandeur, Cid lacks any notable abilities or talents and is merely an ordinary high school student.
However, Cid's life takes a sudden turn when he stumbles upon a secret organization known as "The Shadow Garden" and decides to infiltrate it to become its leader. He forms a group of loyal followers, including his childhood friend Ren, the enigmatic girl Mira, and the skilled fighter Tanya, as they navigate the dangers of the organization while trying to maintain their cover in the outside world.
The Eminence in Shadow is known for its comedic elements, particularly in its satirical take on the isekai (another world) and fantasy genres, often poking fun at the clichés and tropes commonly found in such stories. The series also explores themes of friendship, ambition, and the gap between fantasy and reality.
