Character Profile: Yoichi Hiruma

Yoichi Hiruma (jersey number 1) is the trigger-happy captain of the Deimon Devil Bats. He (not so subtly) resembles a demon, with his spiky hair, sharp teeth, and pointed ears. His dog, Cerberus, isn't too friendly-looking either.

As captain of the fledgling football team, Hiruma uses his immense influence and contacts to get whatever he needs to keep the team afloat. He keeps a little black book labeled 'threats' at all times, and seems to have dirt on everyone at the school and beyond. He wields the ability to pull any sort of firearm out of nowhere. The special JumpFesta episode showed him being frisked at a club, with the pile of confiscated weapons far exceeding his own volume.

His skills as a quarterback are incredible, able to hit receivers with pinpoint accuracy through the smallest opening. He can accurately guess the opponent's strategy after only a few plays, and always plans the best strategy to trick them. He rules his team with absolute authority, often including borderline inhumane treatment of his teammates. However, he looks out for them and does whatever it takes to keep them from any harm not caused by him. He's tough, but fair. The other players follow his leadership because they know that Hiruma won't lead them astray.
