Character Profile: Michel Ninorich

Michel Ninorich is the young rookie assigned to the 08th MS Team. Despite his belief that he is to be assigned a mobile suit, he is instead made an assistant to Eledore Massis and helps him man the teams Type 74 Hover Truck support vehicle. While disappointed in his assignment, Michel quickly picks up the tasks that he needs under the unforgiving hand of Eledore.

Michel is often seen penning letters to his girlfriend whom we only know as "BB". At one point during the war, Michel and BB's relationship has a falling out, mostly due to her concern that Michel will be killed in action. This very nearly comes true when Michel encounters the second iteration of the Apsalus and is on the receiving end of its mega-particle cannon. Despite surviving the war, Michel does not get the girl in the end...

While Michel is obviously a trained mobile suit pilot, he is far too hesitant and unfocused to be useful in combat. With his mind constantly on home he has a tendency to overlook what is happening in the present. He is an undisciplined soldier and susceptible to peer pressure, which also gets him into trouble. His single outing in a mobile suit is disastrous and he does much better working as Eledore's assistant.
