Character Description: Andrew Waltfeld
Andrew Waltfeld plays an important role in the plot of Gundam SEED. He is called "The Desert Tiger" because his team has mobile suits that are perfectly suited for the desert. His own unit that he pilots together with his partner Aisha is a TMF/A-803 LaGOWE.
Waltfeld fights in the desert and loses to Kira, Strike Gundam pilot. He is thought dead until he reappears late in the series allied with Lacus Clyne and serves her defying ZAFT to bring about peace. Although he is alive, he was injured badly so then he only has an arm and some other minor injuries.
Also, early in the series he showed his addiction for exotic coffee mixes when he drank it in the battlefield itself and when Cagalli and Kira ended up at his house after he got Cagalli dirty with chili and sour cream and offered to get her cleaned up. He likes to joke but most of his sarcastic remarks have some kind of a serious meaning.
