Anime Profile: Moldiver

Pioneer brings you the greatest thing to happen in superheroes. Okay, so it's a total farce, but who cares? This is fun!

In the year 2045, the city of Tokyo is still a nexus for science and technology. Sky towns, shooter tubes, ropeways: you name it, it's there. Hiroshi Ozora, desperate to make a name for himself, manages to design the ultimate suit. Dubbed the Mol Unit, whoever wears the suit can defy the laws of physics. That's the good news. Then, his mallrat sister, Mirai, finds the suit and decides to give it her own style. That's the bad news for Hiroshi, who now finds it impossible to use the suit.

At the same time, Prof. Machinegal sends his android Dolls out to secure the most priceless pieces of technology. That's the bad news for the rest of us, as they're trashing everything in the process. And to top it all off, it's now up to Mirai, someone who never intended to get the job in the first place, to stop him. She's now the Moldiver.

Whether that's good or bad news remains to be seen.

Note: In an interesting twist, the titles of the 6 episodes spell out "Moldiver" letter by letter.
