Character Description: Ran Tendo, Rei Okonashi, and Rin Asakura
Ran Tendo, Rei Okonashi, and Rin Asakura are the Galactic Federation's "special trio" of inspectors/operatives. All three are AI/humanoid robots who do not need a "starship" body, unlike Bathyscaphe and Haruna. Their human forms are young girls (what is it with robot girls?!) aged 12-13 years old.
Ran Tendo (the red-haired one) and Rei Okonashi (the light blue-haired) are special assault robots, assigned to interception of terrorist-infiltrated starships heading to Earth. Rin Asakura (the golden-haired one) is more of a "field-operative", assigned to do the "dirty work" and protection of the Nanases. Rin's "hypnotic pulse" also comes in handy whenever a "Galactic incident" occurs with many human witnesses, not unlike the "Neuralizer" of Men In Black!
