Character Description: Kotoko Fujioka
Kotoko Fujioka is Haruhi's mother, and who died when Haruhi was only six. A lawyer by trade, Haruhi came to admire her mother, and used her influence to play her own career in the legal profession. Oddly, Kotoko was very open-minded, and tolerated her husband Ryoji's habits of crossdressing.
But there was another secret about Kotoko that was found-out by Ryoji only after her death. While cleaning out her closet, he came upon a small box of mementos marked 'Zu'. In it, he discovered her deepest secret. Kotoko had attended St. Lobelia's Girls Academy, and it turns out she was a member of the Zuka Club (also known as 'the White Lily League'). Even more shocking, it seems that Kotoko often starred in the many extravagant musicals the Zuka Club put-on for the school. Strangely, Haruhi hasn't inherited any of her mother's singing and acting talent.
