Character Description: Kyouichi Saionji
Kyoichi Saionji, Captain of the Kendo Team and Vice President of the Student Council, happens to be Utena Tenjou's very first opponent. After hurting Wakaba Shinohara's feelings, Utena decides to challenge him to a duel.
Despite her initial unfamiliarity with this particular duel, Utena manages to defeat Saionji, causing Anthy Himemiya, the Rose Bride, to be engaged to her now.
Afterwards,he is consumed with the idea of getting Anthy back even though when she was engaged to him, Saionji was more than slightly abusive of Anthy.
