Character Description: Emma
Emma is an orphan and a shy girl. She can read and has some sort of education. She started her life as a flower girl, or more of a flower seller. Mrs. Stowner hired Emma as a maid after saving her from her fate. She first saw William when he visited at Mrs. Stowner's house and Emma served him a hot coffee and soon after a romantic relationship began.
