Description: The Wings of Honneamise: Royal Space Force
From the beginning, Gainax has been an innovator in the world of anime. The Wings of Honneamise is the first production of this company that would go on to produce such works as The Secret of Blue Water and Neon Genesis Evangelion.
In a world different yet very similar to our own lives Shirotsugh Lhadatto, a man who always seemed to be left in the middle. Unable to become a pilot, he ended up in the laughingstock of the military: the Royal Space Force. However, it's general is a dreamer like he, and Shiro is himself inspired by a girl he meets, the religious Leiquinni Nondelaiko, and thus begins a quest to prove everyone wrong and send a man into space.
It is a long, difficult quest wrought with adversity both from the military and from the people, but with high hopes, the Royal Space Force perseveres. It is a very touching and inspiring story.
The Wings of Honneamise was originally brought to the United States under the moniker "Star Quest". It was later re-dubbed more faithfully by Manga Entertainment under its proper title. And now Bandai Visual is giving it the high-definition release treatment! On September 11th, 2007 The Wings of Honneamise: Royal Space Force will be released as both an HD-DVD package and a Blu-ray package. Each package also contains a standard DVD as well as a 2-page booklet.
